I believe that right now, most of the world is living in fear; sadly even most Christians. With so many things going on right now people are afraid of getting sick, the vaccine; should I take it or not?; of possibly losing their job, which could lead to losing their homes, cars, friends, family, and even their lives. God, our Father, wants the Church to be focused on Him and Him alone. He is our healer, provider, and our protector. Throughout the Bible, we are told to “fear not.” I am going to share with you just a few verses that I think will give you hope and peace during these times.
Let’s start with healing.
Isaiah 53:5 “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” It is repeated in 1 Peter 2:24 “Who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed.” Everything Jesus went through before He died on the cross shows us, He would heal our physical body as well as our spiritual body. He also says in James 5:14-15 “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church and let them pray over him anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he committed sins he will be forgiven.” The key word here is “faith.” We need total faith without doubting that he will heal us.
God our provider.
3 John v.2 “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” Everyone knows Psalm 23:1 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Jesus said it himself in Matthew 6:25-26 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
God loves us so much that if one door gets closed, he will open a new even better one.
God is our protector.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 “But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.”
Ephesians 6:13-20 where God gives us His whole armor along with praying in the spirit to fight off the evil one.
Also pray Psalms 91 every morning. “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.’
Surely, He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in the darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. Because he has set his love upon me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show Him my salvation.” Psalms 91
My hope is that all these verses are giving you comfort and peace so that we arise in health and multiply in wholeness together and to stamp out any fear you may have during these times.
